What makes Achilles' Kiss™ unique?
Achilles' Kiss™ is designed using specially dyed fabric so that the pocket will closely blend with the inside of your pants, allowing for a unified look. Achilles' Kiss™ also uses high quality fabric that is soft to the touch while maintaining a durable quality.
Why should I buy Achilles' Kiss™?
Achilles' Kiss™ is a permanent attachment to your pants that will keep the bottom back of your pant legs straight down. Your pants will no longer keep getting caught between the heel of your foot and your open heeled shoe or at the top of a short boot.
Does Achilles' Kiss™ work for shoes other than open heeled shoes?
Yes. Achilles' Kiss™ also works to keep your pant legs from being caught at the top opening of short boots.
Can I use the pockets on more than one pair of pants?
No. Once you've attached the pockets to a pair of pants, they're permanent. If you pull the pockets off, you will not be able to reapply them onto a different pair of pants.
Where exactly should I place the pocket on my pants?
The pocket should be placed on the inside of the back pant leg hem. The pocket should be positioned at the center of the hemline or where the back of your pants touch the back of your heel. This position may differ on different pants because pants differ in the way that they are straight leg, boot leg, flare and tapered. The bottom pocket should be positioned as close to the bottom edge of the hemline as possible, without allowing the pocket to hang below the hem.
Tip: Before ironing the pocket to the pants, use scotch tape to attach the pocket to the pants. Then put the stick inside the pocket. Wear the pants along with an open back shoe and walk around. If your pants do not get caught between the heel of your foot and the top of the shoe, then you have positioned the pocket in the correct place. If the pants get caught, then you should reposition the pocket and walk around again. Once you've found the proper position for the pocket, follow the directions for attaching the pocket. Make sure to remove any tape that you attached to the pocket before ironing.
How do I apply the pocket to my pants?
Take a look at our How It Works page for directions.
How should I clean my pants since they have the pocket attached?
First, remove the sticks from the pockets before washing or dry cleaning pants. It is best to machine wash using cold water and to dry the pants at low heat. Washing and drying pants on a delicate cycle will extend the life of the pocket. Fabric softener and dryer sheets should not be used because they will compromise the adhesive on the pocket. Pants can be dry cleaned but continued dry cleaning may compromise the pocket, shortening its' life.
How long will the pocket stay on my pants?
The pocket has been designed to stay on your pants permanently, when it is applied and maintained properly. Although, we cannot control how the consumer applies and maintains the pocket, so different people will get different results. Also, everyday wear and tear will affect the life of the pocket. Lastly, the adhesive which attaches the pocket to the pants will by nature break down little by little causing the pocket to loosen.
Why is the top round edge of the fabric with adhesive on it not finished?
This edge is purposefully left without a stitch on it. The reason for this is to allow the adhesive to have the best bond with your pants. During testing, we found that it is best not to have any thread or stitching in the way of the adhesive while it is trying to form a bond with your pants.
What should I do if a pocket loosens?
Repeat step 6 from the How It Works page. Also, you may use fabric adhesive glue for extra reinforcement. Make sure to follow adhesive directions carefully.

Who is Achilles and why the name Achilles' Kiss™?
Achilles was known in Greek mythology as a hero of the Trojan War. Achilles was also known as the most handsome of the heroes in the war against Troy, as well as the quickest.
It was noted that when Achilles was born, his mother tried to make him immortal by dipping him in the river Styx. Although, she forgot to wet the heel she held him by, leaving him invulnerable on all of his body except for his heels. Legend states that Achilles was killed in battle by an arrow to the heel, his vulnerable spot. That is where we get the expression "Achilles' heel" when referring to a person's principal weakness.
Achilles' Kiss™ was the first name that came to my mind. "Achilles" seemed like a natural and appropriate choice because Achilles' Kiss™ targets pant hems being caught under the heel of a person's foot. As for the "Kiss" part, who wouldn't mind a kiss from the most handsome hero in Greek mythology?
